Miami “SME” (Summer Music Exhibit)

Miami "SME" (Summer Music Exhibit)Saturday, July 23, 7pm-12am - H2 Studio of the Arts, 5111 Northwest 159 St, Miami Lakes

Context of a Generation presents Miami Summer Music Exhibit (SME), a music performing art based concert showcasing the underground culture of Miami’s creative art scene at H2 Studio of the Arts at 7pm on Saturday, July 23. This concert highlights the variety in local music with styles of Caribbean Folk, Hip-Hop Conscious Trap, Indie Pop-Rock, R&B Tit-Hop, and Synthpop Retro Wave. Miami SME will also explore ambient, in-motion creativity with performance and visual art through Spoken Word, Choreography, and Live Painting.

The purpose of Miami SME is to spotlight Miami’s underground creative culture. It has been a challenge for many creative-artists to gain massive recognition beyond the local community. The demand for growth in creative expression and professional exposure from creative artists have birth many outlets through forms of local showcases, galleries, and open mics. Many of these outlets have struggled to stay active among the rapidly growing population in Miami, and most have closed down, with the exception of a few fighting platforms such as Imperial, Words & Wines, Lucid Gallery, and Speak Friday’s. The SME concert will showcase some of Miami’s rising talents such as Marq Iggy, DreJon, Dreamshore, Symone Titania, Carla Renee, Nelson Seriuex, and Frankie Midnight, taking a piece of Miami’s creative art underground culture and placing it inside a warehouse for an evening. #SME
