From Old San Juan to Miami this Tour is to Promote the Island’s Rums Through Cocktail Hours and Seminars.
Puerto Rico’s Government program Rums of Puerto Rico has announced a special tour across Miami to showcase the island’s rums, which make up more than 70 percent of the spirit exported and consumed in the United States. Produced in partnership with noteworthy South Florida Bars and historical sites, the tour will take place from May 7th through 11th with special activities and educational seminars along the way.
Puerto Rico’s title of “Rum Capital of the World” is backed by centuries of rum-making experience and hundreds of awards. The Miami tour will offer rum-lovers and newcomers the chance to taste a wide variety of Puerto Rican Aged premium rums, from the most prestigious distilleries and rum houses like Bacardi, Don Q, Trigo Rum and Ron del Barrilito and to taste some of the new rums from the island such as Pitorro and Boricua Rum. Special celebrations will be held at each tour stop, offering complimentary cocktails and bites as well as ambassador-led aged-rum tasting seminars.
Throughout the day, specialty Rums of Puerto Rico cocktails will be offered at Mary Brickell Village destinations including BARÚ Latin Bar, Burger & Beer Joint and Candela Gastro Bar. Attendees must be 21 or older to enjoy.
