The Art and Culture Center / Hollywood will present its 19th Annual Cuisine for Art fundraiser on Friday, May 20 at 6:00 p.m., at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood. Cuisine for Art features elected government officials and community leaders serving as celebrity waiters during an exciting and entertaining evening in which funds are raised for the Centerâ€™s exhibition and education programming.
This yearâ€™s event honors #1 New York Times best-selling author Brad Meltzer. Meltzer is the best-selling author of fictional thrillers like The Presidentâ€™s Shadow and non-fiction like History Decoded. He was named by the Hollywood Reporter as one of Hollywoodâ€™s 25 Most Powerful Authors. He is also the author of a series of illustrated childrenâ€™s books, comics and the host of Brad Meltzerâ€™s Lost History and Brad Meltzerâ€™s Decoded on the History Channel.
More than 200 attendees are expected for the event, which begins at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail reception and silent auction featuring items such as incredible vacation packages, beautiful gift baskets, and more. Dinner begins at 7:00 p.m. with the â€œMarch of Celebrity Waiters,â€ followed by a three-course meal, musical entertainment, a live auction, and the presentation of this yearâ€™s honoree.
