NLC 100: Building a More Civically Active Miami

NLC 100: Building a More Civically Active MiamiThursday, June 9, 6pm-10pm – Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove, 2985 S Bayshore Dr, Coconut Grove

When we talk about civic engagement, problem solving, and the future of Miami, we hear the same two questions: where are the young people and who is engaging the next generation of leaders? To help answer those questions, the New Leaders Council (NLC) Miami invites you to an evening of cocktails and celebration at the Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove. Meet the 2016 fellows at our graduation and fundraiser and help us build a more inclusive and civically engaged Miami!

NLC Miami engages young women and men from outside the traditional power structures and provides them with the tools necessary to make a positive difference in their communities and beyond. We do this through a five-month leadership institute that develops their practical skills, focuses their impact work goals, and connects them with local leaders in politics, government, business, education, the arts and sciences, and the nonprofit sector. Though highly selective, the institute is free of charge.

Your support helps to cover the costs of the institute and ensure it remains free and accessible to rising stars in our community, regardless of their ability to pay. Come meet fellows (past and present) and become energized by the experience. It takes a village, and Miami is ours. Join to celebrate, and help build a community we are all a part of! Tickets are $75 per person. For more info contact the chapter at @NLC_Miami
