Come celebrate the beginning of Dia de los Muertos season with the whole community. The tradition of Day of the Dead, honoring those we love who have departed this physical realm, is one that connects us as humans across the countries, continents and cultures that too often divide us. The day will begin with a traditional #MesoamericanDanza opening, a puppet show by Puppet Guild of South Florida, special guided tours of the Ofrendas and Inspired by Frida exhibitions as well as creative, interactive Day of the Dead fun for children, adults and elders alike. This event is part of the Florida DAY of the DEAD in collaboration with over 25 South Florida artists and arts organizations. Funding for this project is provided in part by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners as recommended by the Broward Cultural Council. Free with museum admission.
