Drink Like a Local on Himmarshee

Drink Like a Local on HimmarsheeSaturday, August 20, 6pm-9pm – Downtown Himmarshee, Fort Lauderdale

Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale and the Downtown Himmarshee Village Association want you to come out and “Drink Like a Local on Himmarshee.” Until the snowbirds return, the restaurants and bars on Himmarshee are kept busy by Fort Lauderdale locals. Business owners and staff recognize this and decided to partner with Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale to host a street party to celebrate the loyalty of the locals that come to Himmarshee Street year round. With many smaller neighborhoods nearby, lots of locals ride their bike or even walk to Himmarshee. It is a place where local workers run out to for a quick lunch, friends meet for happy hour, families come for dinner with children and fur babies (Himmarshee is VERY pet-friendly) and many flock to for weekend brunches. Himmarshee Street is a special place for many locals where the servers know them by name, know what they want and sometimes even have a reserved seat for them.

For $20 enjoy 10 complimentary beer samples from Stephens Distributing, games from Redball Social and Kickball and live music from local band High Tolerance Music. Come as you are and party in the street in true “Himarshee” style. Enjoy beer sample from 10 Barrel Brewing Company, Beck’s Oktoberfest, Blue Point Brewery, Elysian Brewing, Goose Island Brewery, and Kona Brewing Company. Tickets will be available at the gate for $25. Proceeds benefit Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale and the Downtown Himmarshee Village Association to promote and enhance the Downtown Himmarshee District.
