Sip of History: Bearing Witness

Sip of History Bearing WitnessTuesday, October 4, 6:30pm–9pm – HistoryMiami Museum, 101 West Flagler Street, Miami

Sip of History delves into South Florida’s past and present through moderated conversation with artists, activists, and community stakeholders from a variety of disciplines. Hosted by a HistoryMiami staff, each conversation will explore a different topic centered on the diverse stories of our local communities. Each conversation will be paired with a Miami inspired cocktail created by author, Mixologist, and Brugal 1888 Brand Specialist Gabriel Urrutia.

Join us for a special evening with Rahsaan “FLY GUY” Alexander, photographer and curator of CAPTURE: A Portrait of the Pandemic, in conversation with Marlon Hill that will explore the realities of 2020 and its lasting impacts on Miami’s communities. Listen as Rahsaan Alexander recounts his experiences in documenting and bearing witness to this critical time in our history, with a focus on its impacts on the entertainment industry at-large. This conversation will be followed by a featured set by DJ FLY GUY with a guest appearance by DJ ALL DAY K. #HistoryMiami
