AEA Miami Pearls of Hope GalaSaturday, September 17, 7:30pm-11:30pm – Miami Marriott Dadeland, 9090 S Dadeland Blvd, South Miami

Asociacion Emergencia Ayacucho-Miami Chapter hosted its 30th Anniversary Gala “Pearls of Hope” at the Dadeland Marriot. The exciting evening served as AEA Miami’s annual fundraising event benefiting orphan or abandoned children of Ayacucho, Peru. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour, silent auction, dinner, show and dance.

AEA, a non profit association, was founded in 1985 in response to the growing number of orphaned children that survived terrorist attacks in Ayacucho during Peru’s most tumultuous years. Two years later, in 1987, the Miami Chapter of Asociación Emergencia Ayacucho (AEA) was created in the Miami, under the leadership of Mrs. Dora de las Casas.

AEA Miami supports the orphanage homes “John Paul II” in Huanta, Huancapi and Vilcashuamán which are located at 1, 3 and 6 hours away, respectively, from Huamanga the capital of Ayacucho. 30 years since its inception, AEA has cared for more than 1,857 children and 280 young adults from the rural areas of Ayacucho who received a proper education, basic needs and inspiration.
