The Sacred Space Miami (TSSM), the city’s first dedicated wellness campus, celebrated its grand opening. Co-founded by nationally recognized event planner Karla Dascal and designed by award-winning architect Rene Gonzalez, TSSM offers a new lifestyle destination focused on holistic living, wellness education, self-growth and empowerment. The grand opening celebration included a day-long mindfulness festival hosted in partnership with Modern OM and included over 20 workshops, guided teachings, cooking classes and much more. A full list can be seen at the link below.
TSSM also serves as the home for Celebrity Vegan Chef Matthew Kenney’s nationally lauded Plant Food + Wine as well as a culinary academy where students are classically trained in plant-based cooking. Additionally, TSSM houses The Garden, a new event venue meant to evoke a lush and harmonious oasis and offer visitors an escape from the daily grind of city life.
There is currently no dedicated mindfulness festival in Miami, or even the US. This is a novel concept. The intention is to offer activities and speakers that connect people to mindful states. By experiencing mindfulness firsthand, and meeting others that are also interested in the lifestyle, Miamians will be inspired to lead healthier and more meaning-filled lives.
Mindfulness is an unequivocally positive lifestyle and set of practices that can be incorporated into most aspects of life. The Modern Life Mindfulness Festival was filled with highly curated programming; consisting of meditation, music, art, food, technology, speakers, and creative opportunities for people to interact with each other. #ModernLifeFest @TheSacredSpaceMiami
