36th Annual Miami Dade College’s Miami Film Festival

36th Annual Miami Dade College’s Miami Film FestivalMarch 1 – 10, Various Locations

This Changes Everything, a pivotal film examining historic and contemporary gender inequity in the American film and television industries, will open the 36th edition of Miami Film Festival on Friday, March 1st at the historic Olympia Theater. Appearing on camera are leading Hollywood women Meryl Streep, Geena Davis, Sandra Oh, Rosario Dawson, Zoe Saldana, Jessica Chastain, Taraji P. Henson, Cate Blanchett, Amandla Stenberg, Natalie Portman, Reese Witherspoon, Shonda Rhimes, Jill Soloway and many more advocating for meaningful change.

After our Opening Night Film presentation (film ticket sold separately), join us at The Historic Alfred I. DuPont Building, courtesy of the Tilia Companies, for an unforgettable party to kick off our 36th edition. The annual scene to be seen, the 2019 Opening Night edition is sure to bring more of the epic adventures, sensational libations and wild entertainment that has become the stuff of Miami Film Festival lore. Inspired by the silver screen, this year partygoers can literally “Wish Upon A Star” — as in Estrella Damm, the Festival’s new official beer from Barcelona, Spain. Although…it’s much more than just a beer! It’s a taste of Mediterranean culture itself. Partnered with the mouth-watering culinary creations of three of Estrella Damm’s favorite Miami chefs with the sparkles of el circo overhead, the Estrella Damm vault will be a speakeasy in and of itself that you’ll be hard-pressed to leave. #MiamiFF
