Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) at FIU advocates for veterans’ rights to access medical cannabis for therapeutic purposes. SSDP encourages all legislative bodies to endorse veterans’ rights to use medical cannabis therapeutically and responsibly, and is working to end all prohibitions associated with such use.
Event will raise awareness about the plight of veterans in modern society and about how medical marijuana can assist veterans who are actively suffering. Those in attendance will learn about the statistics regarding veteran PTSD and other ailments associated with war and the research associated with medical marijuana and veterans.
There will be a performance by the theatrical group, the Combat Hippies, and performances by other artists on the subject. This event is free and open to the public.
