Pegasus World Cup InvitationalSaturday, January 28, 4:30pm-6:30pm – Gulfstream Park, 901 S Federal Hwy, Hallandale Beach

The Stronach Group’s inaugural running of the Pegasus World Cup Invitational with a $12 million USD purse surpass the Dubai World Cup ($10 million USD) as the world’s new richest thoroughbred horse race. The race featured the most highly anticipated match-up in Thoroughbred racing history between California Chrome and Arrogate. Multi-Platinum artist Thomas Rhett served as the headlining performer on race day.  E! News host Maria Menounos reported live on NBC covering all the fashion, entertainment and celebrities at the race.

The Stronach Group and the Pegasus World Cup Invitational are proud to work with organizations dedicated to promoting and supporting the well being of its industry’s athletes, both human and equine. After The Impact Fund, founded by legendary NFL Hall of Famer Mike Ditka, is a featured charity of choice. Together with The Stronach Group, After the Impact will facilitate a pilot program integrating retired jockeys into their comprehensive treatment program along with retired NFL and war veterans. In addition to the partnership with After the Impact, the Pegasus World Cup Invitational will support The Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance and the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund.
