The American Heart Association will present its Miami Red Dress Fashion Show at Funkshion’s Fall Fashion Week. The event will celebrate fashion, philanthropy and culture in the name of women’s heart health, beginning with a Pre-Show Cocktail Hour, hosted by Primp Salon & Hair Extension Boutique. At 9 p.m. the fashion show will get underway with a musical performance by Ruben Campbell, singer, actor and founder of Music For Your Heart Foundation.
The show, features an eclectic assortment of red dresses from renowned designers, accessorized by Piaget and Judith Lieber. Participating designers include Laundry by Shelli Segal and Jantzen by Perry Ellis International, Oscar de la Renta, Donna Karan, Nicole Miller, Gustavo Cadile, Angel Sanchez, Silvia Tcherassi, Diego Binetti, Victoria Lopez Castro, Fisico by Cristina Ferrari, Ever After, Koam Designs, Sarahi House of Fashion, Custo Barcelona, LAVUK and the Project Runway Latin America Red Dress winner. Part of the Go Red for Women movement, the event will showcase celebrities, models and heart disease survivors who will walk for the cause. Lissette Gonzalez, meteorologist at CBS4, will serve as the Mistress of Ceremonies. Festivities will continue after the show at the MOMMS Post-Show Party at Mokai starting at 11:00 p.m.
