Alberto Linero Gallery presents an uncanny interpretation of “body painting†by guest artist Cristina Botero during the Wynwood Art Fair (October 21 – 23, 2011). Using fluorescent acrylic paint, Botero will wear a white leotard and use her limbs and appendages to apply the paint on a white canvas directly outside of the contemporary Wynwood gallery. Completing the pieces, created without the use of brushes or other instruments, Botero’s leotard will take on the flamboyant shades of pink, blue and green, complementing the canvas masterpiece. Botero’s work comes full circle with the final painting and her body, used as a tool to complete her work.
