Art Gallery 21, in partnership with the City of Wilton Manors, Central Area Neighborhood Association of Wilton Manors, The Pride Center at Equality Park, Stonewall Museum & Archive and The Humanity Project, will host “Wilton Manors Works,” an interactive event that aims to increase awareness of the LGBT work experience. “Wilton Manors Works” celebrates the anticipated arrival of the traveling Smithsonian exhibit “The Way We Worked,” which examines the strength and spirit of American workers. Art Gallery 21 was selected as a host site through a grant provided by The Florida Humanities Council and Museums on Main Street, a partnership with Smithsonian Institution and the National Endowment for the Humanities. The event will feature an exhibit of photos submitted by the public, followed by a story slam, hosted by Carbonell Award-winning playwright Michael McKeever.
