In collaboration with Markowicz Fine Art, French bakery and art café L’Epicerie, centrally located at the intersection of Midtown, Miami Design District and Wynwood, will be marking its grand opening with a sunset cocktail reception, where it will reveal its new outdoor mural on 36th street created by urban street artist, KAI. KAI’s new mural in conjunction with the café’s opening marks the newest addition to the creative street art and emerging dining scene in the neighborhood.
As part of the celebration, patrons will enjoy L’Epicerie’s freshly made canapes with baked goods and a selection of fine wines imported from France. To accompany the French fare, bakery owners and gallery founders Francois and Veronique will decorate their new shop with a curated art selection from a range of established and emerging artists for local art aficionados to enjoy, starting with the work of KAI.
At the young age of 24, KAI is a street art phenomenon whose work can be found across the globe, from exterior facades to the interiors of art galleries and private homes. His work is curated by and can be found at Markowicz Fine Art, a leading art hub in the Miami Design District. KAI’s mural will highlight the universal and timeless social struggle between love and money through the eyes of his signature character called “IF,” which stands for “imaginary friend.”
