ChildNet’s Annual Care for Kids Luncheon is an opportunity for the Broward County community to rally behind ChildNet, Broward County’s Community-Based Care lead agency that protects abused, abandoned and neglected children in the community, and show support for children in foster care. The event will be hosted by Eric Yutzy of Local 10 News. During the luncheon, ChildNet will present the Champion for Children Award to Jarett Levan, President of BBX Capital, for his commitment to making the community a better place for our children. Attendees will then hear from Mr. Levan and ChildNet President/CEO Emilio Benitez, followed by a former foster child whose life has been impacted by funds raised at the luncheon.
The Care for Kids Luncheon supports developmental activities and items needed to bring hope to thousands of children in Broward County’s foster care system. From swimming lessons, braces and sports uniforms to college tours and one-on-one tutoring, this support goes beyond basic necessities to help foster children not only succeed but thrive from the moment they enter the foster care system to the moment they leave it. Tickets are $75 each and include the Luncheon, program and a gift bag.
