FPL Hosts First-Ever Summer Activities Open House at Manatee LagoonSunday, June 11, 10:30am-2pm – Manatee Lagoon – An FPL Eco Discovery Center, 6000 N. Flagler Drive, West Palm Beach

Families are invited to preview Manatee Lagoon’s free summer programming lineup on June 11. Manatee Lagoon – An FPL Eco-Discovery Center will celebrate the summer season with a line-up of fun family events on June 11. The weekend’s events invite visitors of all ages to preview the various activities that will be offered this summer including:
• Junior Aqua Lab: Explore scientific wonders showcasing marine applications at Manatee Lagoon. Learn about migrating animals, water properties, phases of the moon and much more.
• Manatee Tales: Listen as a Manatee Master storyteller reads from colorful books to tell stories about the amazing aquatic species that live in the Lake Worth Lagoon.
• Mindful Moments Health & Wellness: Check out the display table on the first floor to learn about Manatee Lagoon’s yoga, pilates and rollology classes.
• Manatee Lagoon Talks: Manatee Masters guide visitors on a walking tour of Manatee Lagoon’s exhibits, providing insight about “all things manatee” and the Lake Worth Lagoon ecosystem.
• Artful Learning Classes: Children are invited to come have fun with art and science on the first floor of Manatee Lagoon during this painting class.
• Summer Selfie Station: Be sure to snap a selfie using our props located on the first floor!
• Life Size Manatee Photo Booth: Stop by our photo booth on the first floor (outdoors) and snap a picture as a mama manatee, baby manatee and a sea turtle.
