For a dockside experience this National Sushi Day, head to Shooters Waterfront. Anchored along the Intracoastal Waterway, Shooters Waterfront hosts interactive, group sushi-making classes once a month. If you’d rather leave sushi-making to the professionals, try Hollywood Roll ($18) crafted with shrimp tempura, avocado, cucumber and topped with baked spicy lump crab meat. If you are on a strictly-vegetable diet, grab the Veggie Roll ($13) roasted red and golden beets, avocados, carrots, asparagus, sesame seared tofu, gazpacho and togarashi.

Casa SenseiThursday, June 18, 11:30am-11:30pm – Casa Sensei,

Located along the Las Olas waterfront, Casa Sensei, a culturally immersive restaurant that combines Pan-Asian flavors with the dynamic culinary traditions of Latin America, offers a free-style sushi bar and extensive menu of traditional options. This sushi day, the eatery will be offering a selection of specialty rolls at just $10, try the unique Drunken Roll stuffed with tempura fried salmon, cream cheese, surimi and topped with dynamite surimi mix. Other rolls included in the special are the California Roll, Veggie Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll. 

Nikki BeachThursday, June 18, 12pm-6pm – Nikki Beach, 1 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach

To toast the day, Nikki Beach is offering a complimentary glass of sake with any sushi order (one per person). Savor in favorites like the Hamachi Roll ($14) and the Marbella Spicy Tuna Roll ($16) or go big with Nikki Beach’s Sushi Dragon featuring a variety of rolls, salads, Nigiri and Sashimis. For reservations, please contact reservations.miami@nikkibeach.com and provide the number of guests (adults/children), preferred reservation time, name and contact number. Nikki Beach’s full menu is offered daily from 12pm-6pm, with coal-oven pizza offerings available until 8pm.
