Doc Martens, fishnets, skateboards, and chokers were all over the KAOHS Swim runway show at the W South Beach’s Wet Deck. Born out of the idea that skate, boho and surf should be combined, the swimwear line launched by Tess Hamilton and Ali Hoffman in 2013 has become an international phenomenon and the styles on the runway indicated nothing less. Edgy, free-spirited, and chic, the styles on the runway are perfect for a surf on Venice Beach or working on the perfect beach bum tan. The California based swimwear line prides itself on its stylish yet functional designs that inspire confidence with their superb fabrics and flawless cuts aimed at complementing any woman’s body.
The collection featured 70’s style bandeau style swimsuits with frills, vibrant, eye catching colors, and enticing patterns and 80’s style grunge Baywatch type bikinis with high waisted cuts, quirky designs and ruffle trimmings. More modern designs with revealing hip hugging cuts were also presented in the boho punk runway show. Playful colors like bright yellows, reds, and white were part of the more free-spirited looks while the edgy sensuality of the softer colors like grey, black, light pink and baby blue emphasized the collection’s fierceness. Combining sultriness with a free-spirited aesthetic caters to every beach-goer from the hippie beach bum to the angelic seductress.
