New World Symphony’s Alien Jungle

New World Symphony's Alien JungleSunday, October 1, Sunday, 2:30pm-3:30pm – New World Symphony, 500 17th Street, Miami Beach

the New World Symphony will transform into a glowing alternative universe for Alien Jungle to kick-off the momentous 30th Anniversary season! The NWS Percussion Fellows and students from USC’s Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation collaborated to explore contemporary culture and classical music through a sensory experience that will feature kaleidoscopic lighting, bungee chairs, inflatable props, neon costumes and performers. The event is divided into three parts: a pre-concert audience interaction with percussion instruments; a 1-hour concert with works by Steve Reich, George Crumb, and István Márta; and a closing reception were the audience can mingle with the musicians. Tickets are $10 per person. #NWSALIENJUNGLE #NewWorldCenter @nwsymphony @USCIovineYoung
