Created by French Morning, the third annual Baguette Battle Miami took place at The National Hotel in Miami Beach and gathered South Florida’s top bakers and over 200 foodies to sample an array of bread, which was paired with a variety of cheeses, meats, mimosas, bloody marys and champagne.
Casa Tua Cucina, James Beard semi-finalist Madruga Bakery, Buon Pane Italiano, EuroBread and Cafe and Les Délices de France presented beautiful breads for the “best baguette.” The panel of judges included Clark Bowen, Executive Chef of Boulud Sud; Michael Beltran, Owner and Executive Chef of Ariete; Matthew McDonald, Executive Chef of Tamara Bistro at The National Hotel, Yann Rio, Private Chef and Xavier Noel.
Madruga Bakery took home the Grand Prize for Best Baguette, while Casa Tua Cucina was awarded the Best Specialty Bread Prize and Fan Prize (People’s Choice). #BaguetteBattle
