From crabs to conch to octopus and everything under the sea, the South Beach Seafood Festival was no-doubt a great start to stone crab season. Locals and visitors alike flocked to Lummus Park to get a taste for Miami’s finest seafood offerings from staples like Joe’s Stone Crab to trendy spots like Dragonfly and Red, The Steakhouse. There was something for everyone to sip, savor and see.
Saturday’s beachfront festival, sponsored by Kendall Jackson and presented by Coca-Cola and Jack Daniel’s, spanned four blocks and welcomed more than 13,000 seafoodies to enjoy a day of fun in the sun in the Sobe Chic way. The festivities were coupled with live entertainment, pop-up stands with vendors like Whole Foods. A VIP section housed more bar options and additional seafood stations from American Social and Old Lisbon. The GOYA entertainment tent offered lite bites such as lobster tacos and ceviche as guests comfortably lounged while watching football on a giant screen.
Overall, this high-end experience showcased the talents of South Florida’s leading chefs and culinary masterminds via a diverse group of events, and benefited a great cause with CI Foundation‘s EAT SMART program.
