Chef Showdown 2017Friday, October 20, 7pm-11pm – Lummus Park, 12th Street & Ocean Drive, South Beach

Chef Showdown 2017 was brought to South Beach Seafood Week by Cambria Winery presented by GOYA, Herradura, and Celebrity Cruises. The Chef Showdown assembled South Florida’s top executive chefs for an evening of competitive cook-offs where guests were the judges. Hosted inside the Range Rover VIP Hospitality Village and GOYA Culinary Pavilion, chefs were paired head-to-head in a total of 8 different seafood battles. Guests hopped restaurant sampling stations and sampled the dishes demonstrated on the main stage, including full bars all night long with a variety of cocktails, beer, wine, and soft drinks. Additionally, guests witnessed the 2nd Annual Herradura Showdown featuring the top bartenders in South Florida, only one can take home the title after battling it out in the Casa Herradura.

Two new battles added this year were Sushi and The Official Oyster Pit Dual! Battle showdowns featured: 
Battle Crab – Chef Andre Bievenu, Joe’s Stone Crab vs. Chef Peter Vauthy, RED
Battle Surf N’ Turf – Chef Sean Brasel, Meat Market vs. Chef Chad Wyrosdick, Papa’s Raw Bar
Battle Taco – Chef Bernie Matz, Bodega vs. Chef Santiago Gomez, Tacology
Battle Tuna –  Jean Delgado, Toro Toro vs. Chef Jim Pastor, Rusty Pelican
Battle Shrimp – Carlos Pimentel, Mondrian SoBe vs. Chef Nicolas Cabrera, Lure Fishbar
Battle Fish – Demetrios Pylitios, Poseidon vs. Chef Massimo Giannattasio, CIBO Wine Bar
Battle Sushi – Chef Kiichi Okabe, Lure Fishbar vs. Chef Masatomo Hamaya, Dragonfly
Oyster Pit Battle – Chef James Versfelt, Shelborne vs. Chef Jordan Marano, Ella’s Oyster Bar
