‘Tis the season for giving, and art, in Miami. With a thriving design-build business that integrates design, architecture, development and art for clients such as the premier riverside dining experience Seaspice among others, Vitri Corporation Founder José Arenas finds this an auspicious time to launch his foundation. He does so with a museum-worthy art exhibition and private opening reception. The exhibition, titled Vitri | Living with Art, opens November 30th and concludes on December 15th.
Vitri Foundation for the Americas aims to improve conditions for the disadvantaged and indigenous throughout the Americas with social and cultural programs and development. It will be permanently integrated into Arenas’ corporation with a percentage of all proceeds continuously benefitting the foundation. Playing to the charity’s global reach, the pre-Miami Art Week opening reception and exhibition showcases international artists. Works from sculptor Jorge Blanco, abstract photographer Hester, mixed-media artist Carlos Cruz-Diez and UK-based sculptor Kate Matthews will be on display in the 5,000 square feet state-of-the-art Vitri Corporation showroom.
