Walkers and families from around South Florida will join supporters of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® in 80 communities across the country for the St. Jude Give Thanks Walk. The family friendly event will bring teams and individuals together for a 3.1 mile walk on adventure trails at Jungle Island. The park and its exotic animal inhabitants will welcome dedicated walkers who will be led by CBS4 news reporter Gio Benitez and Univision 23 news anchor Alina May Azze. Post-walk festivities will include DJ Nino spinning the music tables and the spunkily SpongeBob SquarePants making its way through Jungle Island. Registration for the walk is free, beginning at 6:30 a.m. with the walk set for 7:30. Walk participants are encouraged to raise money for St. Jude by setting a personal fundraising goal and asking sponsors, friends and family members to make donations to support their efforts.
