Community members will join forces to haul a 164-ton UPS B-757 aircraft 42 feet down the runway, all in the name of United Way. Groups of 12 have proven that team work is the recipe to pulling a heavy plane – all while raising awareness and funds for the education, financial stability and health of citizens in Miami-Dade. The fastest team wins a 1st place trophy and bragging rights, while the team with the most creative theme will receive a fun prize. No matter the age, size or gender, all adults are encouraged to build a team and compete in this unique event. Everyone is encouraged to build a team and compete in this unique event. To prep for the big tug, there will be a health and safety booth offering a stretching routine at the beginning of the events. Got kids? New this year, is a mini UPS truck offering kiddy rides, while the parents play tug-a-war with a plane. There will be other activities, food and games for the entire family to enjoy.
