Stop Discrimination Against Pet Lovers in Florida Condos

Stop Discrimination Against Pet Lovers in Florida CondosTuesday, May 29, 5:30pm-6:30pm – Humane Society of Broward County, 2070 Griffin Rd, Fort Lauderdale

Come learn how you can help stop discrimination against pet lovers in Florida condos. It is time that all pet lovers in Florida be allowed to have pets, regardless of where they live. Currently, condo boards are able to arbitrarily ban residents from keeping pets, which is unfair to the hundreds of thousands of responsible citizens who want to be able to enjoy the companionship and many health, physical, and social benefits that pets provide. Did you know that California law (the Davis-Stirling Act) states that no condo association can prohibit a unit owner from keeping at least one pet, subject to the HOA rules? Let’s bring Florida into the 21st century when it comes to condo pet rules-come learn how you can help!
