Currently, condo boards are able to arbitrarily ban residents from keeping pets, which is unfair to the hundreds of thousands of responsible citizens who want to be able to enjoy the companionship and many health, physical, and social benefits that pets provide. Did you know that California law (the Davis-Stirling Act) states that no condo association can prohibit a unit owner from keeping at least one pet, subject to the HOA rules?
