Stitch Lab celebrated young and fresh Latin American fashion talent at their very first Miami pop-up trunk show. The pop-up, titled Tropical Extravaganza and sponsored by Neutrogena, showcased up-and-coming designers from Central and South America – everything from accessories, clothing, swimwear and more. Stitch Lab’s mission is to assist these designers in bringing their collections and brands to the United States market by providing a space where they can show their creations.
Fashionistas at the event were definitely dressed for summer in a full spectrum of colors, bold patterns, and floral prints. Attendees flooded the three-floor event venue, checking out the collections and chatting with the designers. Established Latina fashion and beauty influencers were also featured as speakers at the pop-up to provide insight. The first presenter was celebrity makeup artist Mariela Bagnato, who taught attendees how to take their makeup look from day to night. The evening closed with an encouraging discussion from a panel of entrepreneurs, Ximena Kavalekas, Chiqui Delgado, Irma Martínez, and Giannina Azar. These powerhouse women spoke about their success in the industry and how audience members could follow in their footsteps.
