YAKU by La Mar kicked-off its monthly Pisco Punch series and launched a new menu created by Executive Chef Diego Oka on its one-year anniversary, June 1st. YAKU is a separate bar and lounge from its parent restaurant, La Mar. Guests tried bites of the new tapas featured on the menu in hors d’oeurves style. The dishes ranged from a veal heart dish called Anticuchito to a ceviche dish called Cebichito. A crowd favorite was the Baocito, which was roasted pork belly and pickled veggies creatively wrapped in a steam bun. A rum-based specialty drink created by Chat Chow TV’s Gio Gutierrez called Sueñito Punch was also featured. The Pisco Punch series will continue next month with a new cocktail collaboration.
