Over 25 local chefs and restaurants will participate in Pinecrest Gardens’ Latin Spice Food Festival, a unique and delicious afternoon for indulging in Latin culinary favorites. Sample a range of diverse Latin creations and experience the art of food preparation as chef prepare their signature dishes and compete for big prizes. Enjoy colorful displays of arts and crafts and shop for a unique holiday gift. All day entertainment will be provided by music and dance artists from Spain, South/Central America and Caribbean countries. The festival will also feature cigar rolling, a domino playing area and childrenâ€™s activities. The event will end with the lighting of the holiday tree decorated with beautiful natural ornaments created by students from Miami-Dade County Public Schools. If you wish to extend the festivities, purchase a ticket for Grammy Award-winning Chino Nunez and his Orchestra performing in the Banyan Bowl. â€œIn the Spirit of Salsaâ€ begins at 6:30 for an hour of Salsa dancers and instruction, a 30-minute Mojito intermission, and at 8 p.m. Chino and his Orchestra will take the stage for an hour and a half of the hottest Salsa music on the planet. Wear comfortable shoes – you won’t want to stay in your seat! General Festival admission is $5 for 12 and older, and tickets to the concert are $25 which include festival admission. Parking is free.
