Tequila CAZADORES has partnered with non-profit sporting association, The Bartender Boxing Organization (“BBO”), to sponsor a second nationwide series of Bartender Boxing matches, promoting health and well-being in the hospitality industry. Following a successful first year, the Bartender Boxing Series makes its triumphant return this summer, recruiting talented bartenders from eight new locations, including San Francisco, Miami, Toronto, Vancouver, Portland, Austin, San Diego, and Denver. In addition to their ongoing commitment to wellness, this year The Bartender Boxing Organization and Tequila CAZADORES expanded their mission by providing donations from the matches to the non-profit organization, CAN-DO.ORG, in an effort to aid the charity’s community project efforts across the country.
The hand-selected participants for the San Francisco and Miami were engaged in rigorous gym and match sessions with a trainer, which takes place over a 90-day period. Training will be followed by local matches and will culminate in a final fight between the Miami and San Francisco contenders on July 19th at Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans. New this year, Tequila CAZADORES and the Bartender Boxing Association will bring the mission beyond the boxing gym by partnering with CAN-DO.ORG, an organization that provides relief efforts to support natural disasters, humanitarian crises, animal rescues and more. Funds will be raised and donated through retail sales with the goal of funding local community projects in cities where matches take place.
In addition to bragging rights, hardware (winners and runners up receive local bout trophies), and a new set of sporting skills, winners from final fights win a three-day all expenses paid trip to Guadalajara / Arandas, Mexico to visit the home of Tequila CAZADORES. The final contender will also take home the coveted Bartender Boxing Championship Belt.
