The 8th Annual South Beach Seafood Festival spanned four blocks and welcomed over 15,000 people hankering for seafood. The beachfront festival mixed pop-up cafés, curated by Miami’s best seafood restaurants, with complimentary all-day open bar and live music on the sands of South Beach. Seafood fans discovered the sensory experience of sticking their toes in the sand as they savored sumptuous seafood dishes created by Miami’s leading chefs.
There were more than 70 fresh seafood items to choose from at Red, the Steakhouse – South Beach, The Lobster Shack, Ella’s Oyster Bar, Tacos & Tattoos, and Café Bernie. Popular dishes were delicious Steak & Lobster Skewers, Shrimp Tacos, Oysters, Shrimp Cocktail, Crab Cakes, Grouper in a Bag, Lobster Mac ‘N Cheese, Po’ Boys, and more. Paired with 30+ complimentary open bars for 21 and over, fun and games, culinary demos in the Milam’s Markets Culinary Showcase, Rockwell DJs, three Live Music Stages, the setting was perfect for a great day in the heart of South Beach!
Due to the inclement weather condition on Friday night VIP Chef Showdown was moved on Saturday night, right after the main event. 14 top chefs across South Florida faced off against one another at the Goya Foods Culinary Pavilion at South Beach Seafood Festival. Foodies sampled, and celebrated their favorites while voting on the best dishes of the night and cheering on the chefs as they taking the stage to battle live. #SobeSeafoodFest @SOBESeafoodFest
