The Year of the Dragon started on Monday January 23rd, 2012 and the Mandarin Oriental always embraces their roots during this time period with a well-rounded line up of New Year’s related offerings. On Saturday, January 28, guests enjoyed festive delicacies, a majestic dragon dance and artistic demonstrations.
Guests enjoyed Asian-style food stations featuring an array of tantalizing specialties including Chinese favorites such as Pork, Chicken or Shrimp Mu Shu Wrapped in Mandarin Pancakes, Char Sui Pork, Soy Chicken and Chinese Roast Duck. There was also a variety of Wok specialties including Man Wah Noodles, Sweet and Sour Prawns, X.O. Beef Tenderloin and Seafood Fried Rice. Other tempting dishes include Cold Sesame Noodles and Vegetarian Summer rolls plus an assortment of dainty dumpling selections. There was a live DJ and a variety of Chinese entertainment plus open bar all night long.
