This Thursday night celebration of the unveiling of the new restaurant, Bianca, at the Delano, was an AMAZING evening. Even the weather was picture perfect back drop for all the beautiful people. The evening featured a live performance by Chris Botti and singer Lisa Fisher. They played well together along with the bass player.
After the jazz music finished, the evening had a dj spinning from a booth over the pool. The drinks being passed were strawberry puree and sparkling white wine. Executive chef Brian Massie promises local, farm to table organic ingredients following the Slow Food movement which encourages sustainable regional cuisine from the local ecosystem. Chef Massie’s modern Italian fare includes signature dishes such as Truffle Tagliatelle – house made pasta with fresh Peidmonte truffles and served in a light Parmesan sauce, and imported wood-grilled langoustines seasoned with Amalfi lemons and grilled octopus with cherry tomato, and crab cake BLT sandwich with butter lettuce.
The restaurant encompass’ the main dining room, lounge, veranda and lobby on the historical oceanfront hotel. Since acquiring the restaurant, the Las Vegas-based Light Group, is updating the old Florida Room space into FDR lounge, The Delano is still a dining destination is now being run by Las Vegas nightlife heavyweights. If the preview of Bianca and FDR lounge is sign of the future at the Delano, the Light Group and Delano have knocked it out of the ballpark yet again.
