Saffron Supper Club hosted their beloved traveling dinner series for the first time at Lobster Bar Sea Grille Miami Beach with a unique Greek feast! The night was centered around Modern Greek Cooking, a spectacular cookbook by Corporate Executive Chef Pano I. Karatassos of Buckhead Life Restaurant Group, Lobster Bar’s parent company.
The evening started with a private cocktail reception and passed bites, followed by a curated three-course Greek dinner. Served family-style, the menu consisted of nine tastings showcasing Chef Pano’s updated take on Greek flavor combinations and ingredients with dishes like Red Pepper & Feta Spread, Char Grilled Mediterranean Octopus, Whole Fish Royal Dorade steamed in Grape Leaves, Lamb Chops, and Blueberry Galaktoboureko as a dessert.
Modern Greek Cooking is a compilation of 100 best-loved recipes served at Chef Pano’s award-winning Atlanta restaurant, Kyma, paying homage to the flavors and traditions of Greece, and to the wealth of insight about Greek cooking passed down from his grandmother, as well as his classical French training, and even a touch of his Southern roots. Guests also had the chance to take home their very own copy of the book for an additional $18.
