Saturday, February 11, 6-10pm - Diana Lowenstein Fine Arts, 2043 N. Miami Avenue, Wynwood Art District
Diana Lowenstein Gallery will present Architectonics, a solo exhibition of new work by Miami artist, Julie Davidow, which will remain on view through April 8. Davidow has created a series of paintings with a focus on the relationship between the architecture of contemporary art museums and the artwork that is enshrined within these structures. The term architectonics refers to characteristics of architecture, design and construction; and relates to the scientific systematization of the totality of knowledge. Meet the artist at the opening reception. Davidow will also present a talk led by curator Claire Breukel on February 18 at 2 p.m.
