26th Annual Impressions in Watercolor

26th Annual Impressions in WatercolorThursday, February 16, 6-8pm – Lisa Ann Watson Children’s Discovery Museum, 11155 SW 112th Avenue, Miami

This is the festive and formal opening reception for the 26th Annual Student Exhibition “Impressions in Watercolor.” This is a free event where students, parents, teachers, and the community at large are able to celebrate the creative process through the use of water media. The festivities include food, music, and presentation of awards, from 6 to 8 p.m. This is a student exhibition that is in its 26th year. It displays both 2D and 3D artwork created by students in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools from grades K-12. This annual exhibition is the result of an enduring partnership between Miami Dade Schools and the Miami Watercolor Society. “Impressions in Watercolor” preserves and promotes the unique character of watercolor as a medium among our young artists. Awards will be presented to both winning students and their teachers by the Miami Watercolor Society. The Dade County Art Education Department will also present the Renay Rossi Award of Excellence.
