Nu Wave Swim opened and closed Miami Swim Week with heart, flair and sustainability in mind, presented by SwimShow. Debuting its deep commitment to sustainability and ocean preservation, Nu Wave Swim chose the Miami Beach Botanical Garden to house a variety of wellness activations, runway shows, fashion presentations, cocktail parties and more throughout Miami Swim Week.
At the opening party guests experienced the highest form of omotenashi, or Japanese hospitality, at the Tiny House, a transportable, elegant Japanese bar by The House of Suntory and Hakuhodo. Guests were educated on House of Suntory Japanese spirits Toki Whisky, Haku Vodka and Roku Gin, the unique culture that inspired the spirits and the refreshment of the highball cocktail. Bar Bevy by GROOT Hospitality took over the garden’s Banyan Room for its VIP lounge where guests enjoyed specialty cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres from Drunken Dragon. Music was provided by DJ Ruckus.
Nu Wave Swim closed with a dynamic, collaborative runway experience. The closing event began with emerging swimwear lines, Revival and Charmosa swimwear, and ended with Red Carter and Bleu Rod Beattie showcasing new styles, vibrant prints and bold silhouettes. A portion of the proceeds from this week’s festivities will also be donated to MiamiWaterKeeper, a non-profit organization that advocates for clean and safe drinking water for all.
