arteam̩ricas 2012March 3 Р5, 12pm РMiami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach

arteaméricas is the premier fair of art from Latin America and Spain. Returning for its tenth installment, it will showcase the latest trends in paintings, sculpture and multimedia with galleries from all over the Americas representing hundreds of emerging artists and renowned masters. The fair draws a diverse and upscale audience to enjoy high-quality art within an intimate setting. This year arteaméricas will honor master artist Carlos Cruz-Diez, who is finishing a monumental work at the brand new Miami Marlin’s Stadium, and honors Argentina, the invited country. New this year will be FotoAméricas, a photography exhibition open to artists from all nationalities. The Museum of Art/ Ft. Lauderdale will participate with an exhibition curated by Jorge Santis. On view will be work by student artists from FIU, Miami International University of Art & Design, the New World School of the Arts and Miami Dade College. Again this year arteaméricas will feature ArtTalks, a series of four discussion taking place in the comfort of the Salón’s theatre-style seating. The fair opens each day at noon; on Saturday it closes at 10 p.m., on Sunday at 9, and Monday at 5 p.m. Tickets are $12 at the door, and admission is free daily from noon to 2 p.m. Print the flayer for complimentary entrance for two.
