In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Miami Design District is proud to host the sixth annual Fashion Strikes Cancer event to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Founded and hosted by fashion visionary, stylist and breast cancer survivor, Angeles Almuna, the event was created to commemorate her battle with cancer and to give hope to all those who are suffering, suffered, or have lost a loved one to cancer.
This year, a series of events will be held throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the Miami Design District to raise critical funds for breast cancer research. More information on these events and how to purchase tickets below.
This year’s ticketed events will honor Executive Leadership Life Coach and cancer survivor, Gisela Lowenstein. Gisela’s journey began when she lost both her parents to battles of cancer, and then became a survivor of the disease herself. While trying to understand how to cope with the tremendous stress and uncertainty in which these life-altering events brought forward, Gisela also learned the importance of living a life of genuine purpose, meaning, and perspective. Over the past 16 years, Gisela has dedicated her time to helping others, inspiring and empowering them to take positive action, and create a shift where positivity becomes the new common denominator.
