BALTUS Collection, the premier Spanish luxury furniture company, has announced that designer Sofia Joelsson, owner and head designer of SoJo Designs in South Beach, is this year’s recipient of the BALTUS Icon Award. Sofia Joelsson is known for her hands-on approach to interior design that allows her to hone in on the unique needs and desires of each client. The prestigious award was introduced in 2011 and honors those who have made outstanding contributions to the interior design community in South Florida. Last year’s inaugural recipient was Edward Nieto of Nieto Design who is acclaimed for eclectic international designs that feature the modern refinement of BALTUS.
