GableStage will present An Evening of Revelry, Music, Food & Drink to benefit the theatre’s Education and Community Outreach Programming. Enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, Celtic music by The Three Jacks and a series of short excerpts of Shakespeare. The event kicks off the theatre’s new Shakespeare & Friends, a group of contributors who donate $1,000 or more to support the theatre’s expanded production of Shakespearean works. Cost to attend the party is $150 per person and free to members of Shakespeare & Friends. Selecting and directing the scenes to be presented at the event will be the critically acclaimed dramatist Tarell Alvin McCraney, international Playwright in Residence at the Royal Shakespeare Company. Tarell was the writer/director of last season’s The Brothers Size produced at GableStage.
