Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s first annual “Claws for Kids” fundraising brunch at Joe’s Stone Crab in Miami Beach provided the perfect opportunity to enjoy delicious large stone crabs and other signature Joe’s cuisine without the wait. All proceeds from this event will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s new 11,000-sq.-ft. state-of-the-art South Beach location. Joe’s opened up their restaurant for brunch on May 6 only for supporters of Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s “Claws for Kids.” Committee members include Judy Kramer, Chair; Olga Guilarte, Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade Board President, Irene Korge, Susan Geiger and Rae Stein. Award recipients were Dr. Eugene Gitin and Barry Goldin, from Fisher Island Philanthropic Found which has been supporting Boys & Girls South Beach Club for over 15 years. With a significant lead gift and their continuous commitment, the new building has become a reality.
