Locust Projects will host an intimate awards giving soiree on behalf of in honor of the winner of Miami Writer’s Prize 2012. Rob Goyanes (Slashpine) has been judged the winner of the Miami Writer’s Prize 2012 for his paper on Emmett Moore’s recent exhibition High, Low and in between” at Locust Projects. Since its inception the Miami Writer’s Prize has been a seminal influence in launching the careers of some of Miami’s more promising writers. Join in the celebration of this continuing effort to encourage residents of Miami to write critically about art and to welcome a new and exciting voice to our arts community. The Miami Writer’s Prize is made possible through funding from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and artist Carlos Betancourt.
