The M-DCPS Honors Internship Program @ the Miami Science Museum and Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is a partnership between the District, Miami-Dade County, and the two museums. The internship program, an outreach program of MAST Academy, brought together students from MAST Academy and Coral Gables Senior High School to collaborate on semester-long structured, project-based, real-world learning activities. This internship program culminates with an event that showcases the accomplishments of the students during this inaugural implementation of the program. The students’ internship experiences gave them the opportunity to interact with museum personnel while collaborating with other students on digital projects in collaboration with the Museum of Science and Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.
