Environmental Coalition of Miami & the Beaches (ECOMB), one of Miami-Dade Countyâ€™s leading non â€“ profits promoting sustainability, hosted 2nd Annual â€œGreenRaiserâ€ event at the Mondrian South Beach with Michael Gongora as master of ceremonies. The Mondrian served as the perfect backdrop for ECOMBâ€™s eco-chic fundraiser, offering spectacular views of Biscayne Bay and Downtown Miami.Â ECOMBâ€™s GreenRaiserÂ got together a variety of people, products, and practices of sustainability in an exciting evening of music, silent auction, raffle prizes, eco-friendly cocktails and bites, and more. The event created awareness for Miami and Miami Beachâ€™s environmental issues and served as ECOMBâ€™s main fundraiser. It enables ECOMB to continue implementing initiatives to protect and preserve our local communityâ€™s ecosystem as well as initiate efforts towards the restoration of its new environmental education center: the Miami Beach Center for the Environment.Â ECOMB also honored communityâ€™s best environmental leaders working to ensure a more sustainable community with the Annual Emerald City Award: Whole Food Market South Beach, Deco Bike, Sam Van Leer – Urban Paradise Guild and Jeff BurnsideÂ – environmental reporter.Guests while they filled with sunset hues also enjoyed eco-friendly hors dâ€™oeuvres provided by â€œMy Cevicheâ€ and â€œWhole Food Market South Beachâ€, desserts by â€œMmmmâ€¦ Cupcakesâ€ and sipped on sustainable cocktails courtesy of Veev, and Vita Coco.
