ECOMB’s 2012 GreenRaiser

ECOMB's 2012 GreenRaiserTuesday, July 31, 7-11pm – Mondrian, 1100 West Avenue, Miami Beach

Environmental Coalition of Miami & the Beaches (ECOMB), one of Miami-Dade County’s leading non – profits promoting sustainability, hosted 2nd Annual “GreenRaiser” event at the Mondrian South Beach with Michael Gongora as master of ceremonies. The Mondrian served as the perfect backdrop for ECOMB’s eco-chic fundraiser, offering spectacular views of Biscayne Bay and Downtown Miami. ECOMB’s GreenRaiser got together a variety of people, products, and practices of sustainability in an exciting evening of music, silent auction, raffle prizes, eco-friendly cocktails and bites, and more. The event created awareness for Miami and Miami Beach’s environmental issues and served as ECOMB’s main fundraiser. It enables ECOMB to continue implementing initiatives to protect and preserve our local community’s ecosystem as well as initiate efforts towards the restoration of its new environmental education center: the Miami Beach Center for the Environment. ECOMB also honored community’s best environmental leaders working to ensure a more sustainable community with the Annual Emerald City Award: Whole Food Market South Beach, Deco Bike, Sam Van Leer – Urban Paradise Guild and Jeff Burnside – environmental reporter.Guests while they filled with sunset hues also enjoyed eco-friendly hors d’oeuvres provided by “My Ceviche” and “Whole Food Market South Beach”, desserts by “Mmmm… Cupcakes” and sipped on sustainable cocktails courtesy of Veev, and Vita Coco.
