The Miami Science Museum and the International Hurricane Research Center and Miami-Dade County Emergency Management Department host “Feel the Force,” a full day of activities and informative speakers on how to prepare for extreme weather such as hurricanes. Interactive activities include the Wall of Wind, where visitors construct a house from balsa wood and then place them in front of the wind simulator to see whose house can withstand hurricane winds. A featured speaker is Bonnie Schneider, CNN weather anchor at 2pm. Admission to the museum is free all day.
