New work by Costa Rican-born artist Felicia Marangakis will open with a reception at Caridi Gallery in North Miami. The collection is a unique balance of abstract and figurative art, using multiple textures. Each canvas is semi-sculpted using a variety of glazes, and the result is a translucent look, giving the illusion of water or glass. With the artist’s Latin background, it is no wonder that she incorporates vivid colors that create interesting effects and composition on the canvas. Her work provides the viewer with an appreciation for each individual piece of art within the collection. View her amazing work Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
