Portugal is home to an enviable diversity of soils and microclimates, boasting perfect conditions for the production of exceptional wines. With 250 native grape varieties, it is unsurprising that wines of Portugal impress and consistently exceed expectations. The dedication and commitment of Portuguese winemakers is reflected in the distinctive flavors, versatility and food pairing qualities of their wines. Wines of Portugal hosted a tasting across the range of Portugal’s wines, from the dry reds of Bairrada, delicious whites of the Minho and the newly-renamed Tejo and Lisbon regions to the progressive offerings from Alentjo and Duoro. More than 40 wineries were presenting their latest vintages at the grand tasting of Portugal’s greatest wines, accompanied by cheese, charcuterie and Portuguese small bites.
